This floating home on the scenic Multnomah Channel in Portland, Oregon received a to-the-studs interior and exterior renovation and second story addition.

PROJECT SCOPE:
Full interior and exterior remodel, focus on energy-efficient building envelope, new floor plan, new windows and doors, to-the-studs full-gut, original structure exterior framing and cedar siding remain.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:
1st floor: Rework the floor plan to increase functionality and decrease unusable space, add a laundry room, relocate the entrance, increase the waterfront deck space. relocate the mechanicals outside of the bedroom closet, update materials, maximize storage space.

2nd floor: Enclose the upstairs bedroom, convert it to a primary suite by adding a full bathroom, increase usable space by increasing the ceiling height, add a home office space, maximize storage space.

Rooftop Deck: Add a rooftop deck entertaining space with water and electrical lines to enjoy views of Mount Hood
